TPSL Permit Requirements

The eligibility requirements for a TPSL permit are as follows:

Bachelor’s Degree from an Accredited University
Meet the California basic skills requirements
Subject Matter Competence Requirement: please see detailed information in “TPSL Subject Matter Requirements”.
Authorization of TPSL Permit: 45 hours of preparation for each year of the first three issuances of the permit (initial issuance, second issuance, and third issuance).
